I’m pretty sure the title is self explanatory… Brother Ali & Fashawn on the same stage, on the same night… it’s going to be big. If you have never heard of Fashawn, he was just added to the XXL 2010 Freshmen list of upcoming artists to watch out for. The time is now, come celebrate with us for the official release party for Magnum’s Revolver Muzik Volume 3 mixtape… the last in the series. We will be at Koi Lounge (3603 St-Laurent) from 11pm+ this coming Saturday March 6th. The evening will be hosted by the man himself, with music backed by Showtime Saturdays own DJ Redd Dredd & DJ Wreck… with some special guests that will be in the building.
The admission is $10 at the door, and you will receive a copy of the mixtape.

Here we go again with another edition of the King of the Dot, Montreal division. This time around they will be doing the event over at Koi Lounge (3603 St-Laurent, corner Prince Arthur) and will be somewhat of a pre-lude to our new Saturday nights at Koi called Showtime Saturdays. To get back to the battles, there will be a couple of our locals batteling like Osa, Justice, Woodman and Chuggo… unfortunately no beat boxing battle like last time. Shout outs to the big homie Loe Pesci who is holding down the Montreal division well, and remember if you think you got what it takes, please holla and we can get you on the next one.

Little last minute but none the less, Lil Jon aka the King of Crunk will be at Tonic Nightclub this Saturday, January 30th doing his thing with a live performance from Bad News Brown. I have never had the chance to see Lil Jon scream on the mic, so you can imagine my excitement. Reduced guestlist is $10 so holla at your favorite Tonic promoter to work your magic, or figure it out somehow.
If you are in the city this Thursday, there should be no reason why you will not attend this event and help Haiti with any relief you can. Admission is only $20 and all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Quebec to help Haiti. It is being held at Telus Theater (1280 St-Denis, corner Ste-Catherine) so get your tickets in advance if possible to avoid missing out. There are people dying that need your help, do what you can.

Wu-Tang’s very own GZA the Genius will be on stage in Montreal on Wednesday January 27th at FouFounes Electroniques (87 St-Catherine East). Joining him will be one of the staples in Montreal hip hop, D-Shade and DJ Manifest on the wheels of steel.
